Supported scaffolds are a common work-surface of many workers, primarily in the industrial environments. These scaffolds consists of one or more platforms supported by outrigger beams, brackets, poles, legs, uprights, posts, frames, or similar support systems. Supported scaffolds come in many different forms such as: frame scaffold or fabricated frame, ladder jack, mast climbers, mobile, pole or wood pole, pump jack, speciality and tube & coupler. Under OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1926.451, workplaces must follow standards in how supported scaffoldings are assembled and safety measures when working with them.1
