Hazardous Materials (HazMat) labeling and pictograms are used with all hazardous items to inform those who work near or around the materials the dangerous contents within. The labeling of hazardous materials is included in the Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 (HCS) which aligns with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). Of the label elements, the information that must be included are: name, address and telephone number; product identifier; signal word; hazard statement(s); precautionary statement(s) and pictograms.

These micro-learning clips are designed to help learners understand the dot hazard class labels, hazardous materials classes and categories, hazardous materials identification system, national fire prevention labeling system and hazardous waste labels. Knowing the hazardous dangers on your job site will keep all the workers safe and prepared in the event of an accident.
