Course Overview

Pallet trucks are more agile and easier to handle than a forklift. And when palletized loads need to be moved around a workplace, "walkies" and "walkie riders" can do a great job.  But as with all material handling equipment, pallet trucks can create serious hazards if they're misused, leading to severe injuries and even fatalities.

Atlantic's "Motorized Pallet Truck Safety" training products discuss the hazards that can be associated with walkies and walkie riders, and explain the procedures and equipment that employees can use to avoid them.

Topics covered include:

  • Walkies and walkie riders.
  • Safe truck operation.
  • Moving a load with a pallet truck.
  • Working on loading docks and inclines.
  • and more.
